Guy Fieri is having a bad few months. First, his new Times Square restaurant gets the total gasface from The New York Times. And now, news comes out that his frozen S’mores Indoors Pizza is a flavor abomination. The dessert pizza claims to be made with “sweet graham cracker crust, rich melted chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate chips and melted marshmallows.” But! The packaging neglects to mention the pizza’s secret ingredient, which is apparently cayenne pepper. Oh yeah, somehow a bunch of spicy crap got mixed in with this seemingly sweet recipe, and consumers are angry. The Sam’s Club comment page for the S’mores Indoors pizza is blowing up with major pizza drama as consumers rally against the surprisingly spicy ‘za.

Wrote commenter Jadebox, “You remember those ads in the back of comic books for pepper-flavored gum you could give out as a practical joke? I think this is Guy Fieri’s version of that. This stuff is really, really, really, wish I could rate it less than one star, bad.” And, said SueZQ, “We purchased this product because it looked delicious on the box and had Guy Fieri’s name on it. I can’t believe he would put his name on this awful stuff! The actual product had barely any marshmallows. The marshmallows that were near the edges slid off and burned on the bottom of the oven. The taste was strange, and burned our throats (all 4 family members!). I don’t recommend it at all!”

So Guy Fieri’s dessert pizza is burning throats and breaking hearts. But a quick perusal of Fieri’s original S’mores pizza recipe clearly shows that he’s inexplicably included both cayenne pepper and chili powder on the ingredients list. Will someone explain this, please? [Eater]
